Shanghai Electric Power and Zhejiang Jiangsu Electric Power Realize Inter-provincial Connection of Distribution Networks
Release time:2019-09-21

On September 17, at the junction of Qingpu, Shanghai and Wujiang, Jiangsu, as the construction staff of State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Company and State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. completed the connection on the last section of the line, Shanghai contacted Qingpu-Wujiang in Jiangsu 10 The kilovolt interconnection project was officially completed. This is the second inter-provincial connection line of the distribution network after Qingpu's connection with Jiashan. It also marks that Shanghai has achieved inter-provincial interconnection of distribution networks with Zhejiang and Jiangsu, and the inter-regional power integration of the Yangtze River Delta has entered a new stage .

At present, the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai power grids are mainly connected through ultra-high voltage and ultra-high voltage transmission networks of 500 kV and above, while the distribution network in the province has no mutual supply guarantee mechanism. The provincial boundary is often the end and weak point of the power grid. 10kV lines are mostly single-connected lines. In the case of a line failure, when the front end of the line fails, the end grid power supply cannot be restored through fault isolation, which affects the power supply reliability. In layman's terms, the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai "electric expressway" has long been interconnected, but between Qingpu, Wujiang and Jiashan, which belong to the two provinces but face each other, it has become a problem to walk directly through the "travel". "High-speed roads", and then "trails" in their respective provinces.

In July of this year, the central government decided to build demonstration zones for the development of the Yangtze River Delta's ecological and green integration in Wujiang, Suzhou, Jiangsu, Jiashan, Jiaxing, Zhejiang, and Qingpu, Shanghai. In this context, the Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang power companies affiliated to State Grid Corporation of China have implemented the concept of "integrated power in the Yangtze River Delta" to jointly create an integrated energy ecosystem in the Yangtze River Delta. The power supply companies in Shanghai Qingpu, Jiaxing, Zhejiang, and Suzhou, Jiangsu have broken the restriction of power supply divisions in two districts and one county. Under the premise of ensuring safety, they have optimized the three-dimensional guarantees between the distribution networks at all levels of the power supply divisions and jointly explored the two districts and one county power grids. Mutual aid, mutual protection, interconnection, mutual supply and mutual provision".

In response to the weak terminal grid of the distribution network at the junction of Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, the problem that "far away cannot resolve the near thirst", the 10 kV line that supplies power to Liantang Town and Shangta Town in Qingpu and the nearby Jiashan County and Wujiang District New connections are made on the line to realize "water drawing from the nearest". When there is a power failure in the border area, the power supply can be supplied across the province through the tie line, which greatly improves the reliability of power supply in the border area.

In addition, the power supply companies of Qingpu, Wujiang, and Jiashan will formulate cross-border integrated control plans around the dispatching operation of tie lines, break the original "top-down" three-level command system of provinces, cities and counties, and explore "horizontal coordination" The “Yangtze River Delta Linkage” working mechanism provides a reference for the coordinated innovation of power integration in the Yangtze River Delta region at a higher level. In the next stage, the power supply companies of the three places will further work together to explore the construction of a “ubiquitous power Internet of Things” featuring holographic perception, ubiquitous connectivity, open sharing, and integration and innovation, and continue to improve the Yangtze River Delta’s energy allocation capabilities and safety assurance levels, and fully support the long-term development. The national strategy of triangular integrated development is implemented. Source of this article: China Electric Power News Network
